Brian Miller

Brian Miller is a former magician turned international keynote speaker whose TEDx talk has been viewed over 3.7 million times. He is one of five co-founders of the discipline of core messaging, and through his company Clarity Up has helped hundreds of experts across 30+ content areas and six continents drive action on their big ideas. He has received five Cicero Speechwriting Awards, two Anthem Awards for social impact, and four Communicator Awards. He is the author of The One-Page Keynote (Rethink Press, 2026) and Three New People (2018).

Francisco Mahfuz has always loved speaking, even before he had anything useful to say. He's been telling stories in front of audiences for a decade, and even became a National Champion of public speaking. 

Today, he’s a keynote speaker and storytelling coach trusted by global organizations to inspire teams and individuals to communicate more effectively through intentional storytelling, and his clients include PepsiCo, HP, the United Nations, Santander and Cornell University. 

He's the author of "Bare: A Guide to Brutally Honest Public Speaking”, the host of The Storypowers Podcast, and he teaches communication at IESE, one of the top 10 MBAs in the world.

Francisco is certified to take clients through Conquer the Red Dot®, and also supports The SpeakerPath™ by helping program participants find, clarify, and tell their stories.

He received the 2025 Cicero Speechwriting Award for Social Justice alongside Brian Miller.

Ioana Jongsma is an introvert who loves public speaking. She has been speaking – teaching, pitching and presenting – since 2008.  

Today, Ioana is an Executive Presence Coach and Public Speaking Trainer working with startups and global accelerators, and leadership and C-suite staff in industries such as logistics, finance, tech, energy, education, automotive, agribusiness, FMCG, and pharma. 

In addition, she has worked with 21 speakers at nine TEDx Events across Europe, UK and India. 

Ioana is a Neuromindfulness Master Practitioner certified by the Neuromindfulness Institute and a Gestalt Coach. She is also an ICF Certified Coach.

Jo is certified to take clients through Conquer the Red Dot®️, and also supports The SpeakerPath® by helping program participants develop an impactful presence, and have speaking experiences that they love.

Helen Palatis

Director of Operations

Helen works closely with Brian and the Clarity Up team to lead operations and execution across the firm, ensuring ideas move smoothly from strategy to delivery. As Director of Operations, she oversees workflows, systems, and client delivery across programs—making sure priorities are clear, handoffs are seamless, and nothing gets lost between vision and implementation. With a strong focus on structure, clarity, and follow-through, Helen helps translate big ideas into scalable, repeatable systems that support both the team and clients.

Known for her calm, grounded approach, Helen brings a balance of strategic thinking and practical execution to Clarity Up’s work. She partners with the team behind the scenes to improve processes, strengthen communication, and build the operational foundation that allows the firm to grow—without sacrificing quality, intention, or client experience. Her role is simple: protect clarity, reduce friction, and ensure every engagement runs smoothly from start to finish.

Liwy Villaflores is a seasoned website and graphic designer who believes in the transformative power of design beyond aesthetics. With her background in Business Administration major in Marketing, she seamlessly integrates marketing principles into her projects, ensuring design that is not only interesting but impactful. Liwy imagines a world where design bridges the gap between businesses and their audience. 

In her role at Clarity Up she has produced hundreds of projects, from social media banners to slide presentations to entire websites, and our clients rave about her insanely quick turnaround time while maintaining attention to detail. As Creative Director she now oversees all creative work, both internally and for clients.

Nellie Nuarin believes video has the power to infuse emotion into a core message. Whether it's a short-form clip for social media, editing an on-demand course, or creating speaker reel, her work supports the business goal by using storytelling to connect deeply with the intended audience. 

Her very first project with Clarity Up was a submission video for founder Brian Miller that got him booked to speak at a national showcase in front of 300 buyers - a sign of great things to come. As video editor, Nellie supports Clarity Up internally and for clients.
